Greetings,

I was hoping to get some help with a good hero build when you only own Prophecies and EotN. It is impossible to find builds that don't include skills from Factions, Nightfall or both (unless my Google skills are failing me) and I was hoping someone here could give me a hand. I am hoping to get through EotN alone...

Any help would be appreciated.

Guess u should look for Core skill builds/proph skill builds. and add ur own eotn skills there. making builds overall aint that hard. look down builds generally used and find similar skills from eotn/proph to replace

What we really need is your basic build. You have then ask how can this be improved. Also i think this needs to be in the heros bit on the forum

With only Prophecies and core skills your options will be very limited. Also, you're further limited by only the heroes from EotN.

1) I'd suggest running Vekk as a ER-protter (you can find the builds in a variety of places, but you'll have to get creative with replacing the skills unavailable to you). You should be able to get a decent range of prot skill + ER using prophecies only.

2) Build Livia as the best MM/Minion bomber you can put together. Bone minions or Aura of the lich (Elite) are decent options. Make sure you have death nova. The rest can be skills devoted to your secondary, monk isn't a terrible choice for some extra healing fueled by soul reaping's energy gains. Mesmer also offers some nice damage options.

3) The third hero will probably depend a bit on what your prof is. If you're melee, taking a backup monk to buff you and remove snares is a good idea. If you're a caster your options are a bit more varied. A rit hero would be ideal, but without factions your rit skills suffer enormously. A barrage ranger with pet could be useful (the pet will help deflect some hate) or a warrior using conjures and warrior's endurance (elite) could also be effective.

Don't hesitate to mess around and try new ideas... its the only way to get an idea of what works. Lacking so many skills you won't be able to put together anything that will steamroll everything, but you should have no trouble doing all of EtN with H/H in NM at least. Good hunting.

for your first 3 heroes use a Panic Mesmer , a protter and a smiter.

1. Minion Bomber http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:N/any_Minion_Bomber --> Change Jagged Bones with Aura of the Lich, I also use it but I have all 4 campaigns, I just like it more.

2. ER prot http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:E/Mo_ER_Prot_Hero --> Change Spirit Bond with Mend Ailment, Shield Guardian with Convert Hexes, Shield of Absorption with Jamei's Gaze, Infuse Health with Heal other. Change protection prayers to 10, and Healing prayers to 10.

3. Panic Mesmer http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Me/any_Panic_Hero --> Change Mistrust with Cry of Frustration, Unnaturel Signet with Wastrel's Worry.

If u are a Melee Character U will need 1 other build to swap the second with, but Im not sure ur melee/caster and I dont want to waste time

Thanks so much guys! These suggestions really help out, especially I Hate Chips' replacement skills. I have been looking at those builds for the past couple days wondering what I should put in the place of the skills I don't have. Thanks!

Oh just cause ppl wondered if I was melee/caster, I'm a N/Me MM. I'll probably change to something else though since I read Hero MM/Minion Bombers can do it better than humans and that is one of the suggested hero builds. Thanks!

No problem

for ur own build, I would suggest taking Spiteful Spirit. With some EotN skills, and arcane echo. Should work great.
